You want to rest assured that the contractor you hire is a professional with sound business practices, current industry knowledge and uses ethical business practices. You want that contractor to be local, trusted and proven.

The National Association of the Remodeling Industry is recognized authority in the remodeling and home improvement industry. The Milwaukee chapter of NARI has been the area’s leading home improvement and remodeling resource for more than 60 years. As a trade association, contractors and supporting businesses, choose to join NARI Milwaukee. They want to invest in the professionalism of their employees and business overall. Upon submitting an application, businesses agree to abide by the NARI Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice

How does a business become a NARI Milwaukee Member?

We offer a “Regular” and an “Associate” membership. While there is no distinction between the costs, rights, privileges, and benefits of each membership type, different criteria are required to be approved as each type of member. Each business must complete an application and provide the following applicable documentation.

Membership types

Regular Member

A business directly involved in the remodeling and home improvement industry whose primary operation is the sale of its goods or services to the public.

Criteria

  • The business is actively engaged in the remodeling industry and presently conducts business and/or has representation in the geographic area served by NARI Milwaukee.
  • The business’s license, credentials, and/or certification numbers have been provided.
  • A copy of liability insurance certificate has been provided.
  • A copy of worker’s compensation insurance certificate has been provided when applicable.
  • The business has provided, and NARI Milwaukee has checked, customer and supplier/credit references.
  • The business agrees to abide by the NARI Milwaukee Code of Ethics. 

Associate Member

A business whose primary relationship to the remodeling industry is advisory to a business or is a service professional or supplier who does not primarily contract the sale of their goods or services with the general public.

Criteria

  • The business is actively engaged in their industry and presently conducts business and/or has representation in the geographic area served by NARI Milwaukee.
  • The business’s license, credentials, and/or certification numbers have been provided.
  • A copy of liability insurance certificate has been provided.
  • A copy of worker’s compensation insurance certificate has been provided when applicable.
  • The business has provided, and NARI Milwaukee has checked, customer references.
  • The business agrees to abide by the NARI Milwaukee Code of Ethics. 

Verified

Our staff reviews each application for completion and compliance with the criteria. At the time of submission, each component of criteria is verified, and business and consumer references checked. NARI is looking for proper licensing, insurance, financial stability and good relations with businesses and consumers. NARI Milwaukee’s efforts to review businesses on this criterion can give homeowners a peace of mind that the NARI Milwaukee member they hire is local, trusted and proven.
